BTEC Approved Centre
BTEC has been the most successful applied learning brand for over twenty five years. BTEC vocational courses are designed to meet the needs of employers and allow learners to take their first steps into employment, progress through their careers or enter university.
BTEC is administered by Edexcel and owned by Pearson Education, the world's largest education company. BTEC courses are offered exclusively by approved learning centres whose staff, tutors and courses have been thoroughly vetted, and are continually monitored.
British Accreditation Council (BAC)
The BAC was established in 1984 to provide a comprehensive quality assurance scheme for independent further and higher education in the UK. BAC is recognised the world over by students, agents and government officials as the clearest mark of educational quality in the private sector. Alongside the British Council the BAC have overseen the inspection of private post-16 education for over 30 years.
The BAC are committed to both encouraging the highest standards of education offered by independent colleges and providing prospective students with an invaluable guide to quality in an often complex sector. Their charitable status informs their efforts not merely to pass judgement on institutions, but also to nurture their attempts to raise standards and the quality of education for all.
International Approval and Registration Centre (IARC)
The British Academy of Interior Design is accredited by the International Approval and Registration Centre (IARC). The IARC is a not-for-profit association. The centre was founded in 1999 in response to increasing globalisation of world economies and societies, and is currently managed by an elected committee of six education practitioners and industry professionals.
The IARC plays a role in ensuring our quality standards relating to course content, delivery, assessment and administration are maintained. IARC's role as an independent recognition association gives reassurance the Academy has undergone checks relevant to the post-secondary education industry in general terms.
Commercial Interior Design Association
The Academy is an International Design School member of the IIDA. Students of the British Academy of Interior Design are eligible to join the IIDA as Student Members, which qualifies them for entry to trade shows and provides discounts on products. Student Members become Associate Members when they graduate and must take the NCIDQ or equivalent exam to become full professional members of the IIDA.
National Union of Students (NUS)
The National Union of Students (NUS) is a voluntary membership organisation which makes a real difference to the lives of students and its member students' unions. They are a confederation of 600 students' unions, amounting to more than 95% of all higher and further education unions in the UK. Through their member students' unions, they represent the interests of more than seven million students. The NUS promote, defend and extend the rights of students and develop and champion strong students' unions.
